England soon took the lead though, with Kane Williamson hitting a boundary off of Sarfraz Ahmed in the fourth over. In the second innings, England made more progress early on as Williamson once again hit a boundary off Ahmed in the third over. This paved the way for Jason Roy to hit another boundary later on in the inning, giving England a lead of 185 runs. However, Pakistan managed to score some important partnerships throughout the innings and eventually came back into contention. They eventually managed to take the lead by four runs with just ten minutes left in the game.
